Re: Offensive names?
If some player's name offends you that much then turn the game off or play single player. It's a losing battle since almost every player will find some names offensive. Pol Pot, Joseph Stalin, Adolf Hitler, Charles Taylor, Than Shwe, Saddam Hussein, Teodoro Obiang Nguema... I could go on but this li...

Re: Team Switching...
Speaking of snipers...nothing pisses me off more than to get sniped on an armor map like Easting or Desert Shield...WTF? Then I have to waste time and go find the noob sniper and knife him or run him over... Here's a tip for you noob snipers on armor maps: Spawn as anti-tank or engineer to help your...

Re: Team Switching...
I would say SOS plays blue team most of the time. Blue attracts the noobs. I'll play any side if there's at least a hint of team play. I only switch if my team has too many snipers or they are all over the map not doing anything productive.

Seems the new Call of Duty MW2 is gonna suck
No dedicated servers that players can host and the max players is 9v9 on IWs servers. Which it seems like one of the player's PC is the host. WTF? I don't play CoD but I would never want a console experience on my PC. After all, where would the EA 117 server be if EA/Dice didn't allow players to hos...

Re: Toenail camping on the docks
Docks is a perfect example on why an artificial rule is hard to enforce from both sides. You spawn on the boat and get sniped. So what are you supposed to do? Spray their base and pin them down is what I say but rules say other wise. Docks should be modded by making the far land flag blue from the s...

Counter Strike and Russian Skanks
Stumbled upon this... It seems to be a CS match with 2 of the best Russian clans (Virtus.pro and forZe). The promoters hired some skanky chicks for the clans. An interesting combo to say the least Their bikinis have "Ctrl + Alt + Del" printed on them. http://media.englishrussia.com/hot_gam...

I like using the m1 grand in 42 infantry, because you have to lead the shot when their running and can pop head shots or 2 body shots, fun stuff. (any thing that requires you to lead the shot is fun in my book) You have to lead the shots in DC too so I'm not sure what you are saying. Reg BF is slow...

Re: Games we play
UT every now and then but didn't want to spend any time trying to get it to work on Vista and now on Win7 BF1942 BF2142 (it won't run on Win7 either, at least the demo) DC BF2 I come back to DC because it's a simple game. None of this unlocking and ranking crap that full-on ruins any game for those ...

Re: glitching...
If you play .7 and Final you'll notice huge changes in Urban Seige. Final is much better since they removed buildings and made it much better when you are on foot (IMO). Absolutely can't stand Urban Siege FINAL What? It's so much better since you can get between buildings easier on the West side fr...

Re: glitching...
Every ledge and most every other part of a building was designed to allow/disallow something to help game play. A ledge was added to prevent you from laying down. A window was set so you could not crouch to shoot out of or jump in/out of. A line of fire was made so you could hit your target or not. ...

Re: autoswitch
I disagree. The lower the number the lower the chances of getting switched. If you allow the number to get out of hand (let's say +5) then when the teams get off by 5 then 5 peeps gets switched until teams are even. And this usually happens in the situations listed above. All flags get taken or winn...

thanks tona. It seems that the notice never gets posted in game about switching on and off auto-team balance on the moongamer server.

Re: autoswitch
I play on the moongamers DC server a lot and their "auto" team balance seems to work differently. It seems you can't switch if it's even or the other team has more players. This is just an observation so I could be a bit wrong. I don't recall their servers allowing the teams to get more th...

2 things: #1 - I knew some people who drained their pool like that - what they didn't know was the water table in their area was very high and their pool dislodged itself from the ground and basically ejected itself from the hole it was in. Yeah, I've seen that before. We are well above the point w...
