Try XP SP2 mode. I can't remember exactly, but I seem to recall that mine wouldn't run in XP SP3 either, that's why I was in SP2.

Now, of course, if you've already tried it . . . well, I guess you're up the proverbial sewage waterway without a propulsion device. . . .

This may be a stupid question, but are you running DC in a compatibility mode? WIN7 sometimes has issues with older software and refuses to play nicely with others from time to time. . . . FWIW, I'm running my BF/DC in WINXP SP2 compatibility mode and it seems to work OK. Still can't play for s4|+ b...

Oh, but not at all. I've often found that, when faced with a seriously alarming situation such as this, sometimes the simplest of details are overlooked when attempting to deduce the actual cause of a problem like you're having.

I'd still go check that hamster's water, though . . . . . .

Cheese, check and see if you have Widget 3000 Service Pack II or III installed. If you don't have 3000 installed, see if you have the Framalamer plugged in on the Wharkathatch. That should be right next to the case hinge on the left side. Might check and see if the hamster has enough water, too. . . .

Haven, know this is an old post, but 8.1 changes back to the old way. Also, there's supposed to be a patch forthcoming for 8.1 that fixes something or other, but I've not been able to get a straight answer what it fixes. . . . .
