Re: ADMIN ABUSE
The "loser" call was referring to the tank battle you just lost. Now think about it, a crying baby with a big ego fits that definition pretty well. I get to play on EA117 and you got your ass kicked 13 times. Who's looking at a closed door? LOL Did a 10 year old hack SOS's account on here...

Re: Server/Maps
Could it be most players have moved on from such an old game? ^^ is my guess Less about maps, although that may affect it, its mostly just been on decline for some time. I still get on from time to time, but there are some other button smashers that are more visually alluring now that it is 2016. I...

Re: Was a change made to the server?
Thanks for the insight Trench. I'll read up elsewhere here where I remember you walking someone (Thongers?) about tracing the connection. NSA "hard drive" is within sight of my brother's house in Utah. https://www.wired.com/wp-content/uploads/blogs/wiredenterprise/wp-content/uploads/2014/0...

Was a change made to the server?
Sometime in the past few weeks my reliably consistent 50 ping connection has completely tanked. Sometimes I get 50, then it spikes up over 100, maybe 150. But its not even consistent, I get rubber banding now and stuff jitters to the point of rendering the gameplay useless. Nearly crash helicopters ...

Re: map questions
Tough to name least favorites. When there are very few on - only a couple of things keep me around. 1) Simple single objective CTF maps like: Berlin CTF Bocage Day 2 CTF El Alamein CTF 2) Air heavy maps: (to just mess around in jets and helicopters on) Gazala CQ El Alamein CQ Twin Rivers CQ No Fly Z...

Re: map questions
1. al nas 2. berlin 3. lv Not that anyone would care about my opinion - but I agree with this. Al nas is the worst and is my most hated. If we didn't do so much CTF and had a better balance between that and CQ then maybe I would like that one more - but that one is waaay overplayed and way too favo...

Re: BS is getting real old...
Holy crap. I thought I wrote long threads to protest. KI Sawyer AFB, sir, I salute you. The fact that occupied (not firing) but occupied artillery is open game in uncap main is news to me. Been playing here for 8-9 years now I believe. If you had approached red main in order to kill the SCUD, you wo...

Re: Server Map Rotation
Nothing said here is amiss I'm sure. I just don't know if map rotation can save DC. I pretty much will only get on if there are already enough people on and others cats I know and love like Cheese or HOG. Best of luck though. I'd love to see this server continue to produce some fun gaming sessions. ...

Re: Admin Abuse Reyalp = Player
3 thoughts: 1) Changing teams is playing with fire. You're technically never supposed to do it. 2) SOS has been developing a reputation as a harsh admin it seems. Despite my wayward past (at times) I don't think he actually ever banned me after the big chat spam kerfuffle a couple three years ago. S...

Re: Whats happened here?
The Desert Combat community still has some people on. The forums aren't exactly a beehive of activity. Best times to see 15-20+ people playing are in the evenings around 8-11pm eastern, give or take an hour...just depends on the evening. Lots of people on team speak sometimes. That said though, DC i...

A thought exercise:
America was heavily involved in Iraq, and Iraq went to hell.
America was lightly involved in Libya, and Libya went to hell.
America was not involved in Syria, and Syria went to hell.
The problem is not America.

Re: Al Nas - Smoking truck on Allied flag
Very few people use it, maybe because its a known no-no. I dunno. Like many of the rules here, you will only know them by playing a lot and reading up on the forums. It's like the english language. There are no rules but those that have been decided on and the exceptions to those rules, etc... You m...
