Re: Kicked for no reason.
Did your extra "efforts" to maintain server rules initially involve warning Kilgore, or going straight to a kick?

Re: EA117 chat room....
I am a fan of the peach rings. Sorry, I have just been away for a while and figured I would give me .02 on this sensitive topic. Nightstalker!!! You have horrible tastes in candy! (although I will eat those, but prefer watermelon sours or gummi bears or sandpaper) Those peach things are popular tho...

Re: EA117 chat room....
I think it goes without saying that another chat topic that has been abusively injected into games is what people are eating. For example, Haribo gummi candies. Specifically, those Gold Bears*. *regular or sour** **I recommend the sour varierty http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/81rkuS81J9L._SY55...

Re: Balancing Rules with Not Being a Horrible Person
Spawning in the barn is so rare, the cabin becomes the "only" spawn point. It does seem to be an exception compared to most maps. For this reason, it seems so similar to not letting people plant C4 on the flag, it allows a single player to dominate and shut the game down for everyone. Almo...

Re: Balancing Rules with Not Being a Horrible Person
How do you square that with not allowing C4 on CTF flags?

Re: Balancing Rules with Not Being a Horrible Person
Couldn't you say that someone C4 camping a flag on CTF is a team problem? "Well, your team needs to help you clear the area. If you work as a team, you can prevent people laying C4, or at least find the person with the detonator and kill him, or wrench the C4 up. Teamwork guys!" Yeah, no. ...

Balancing Rules with Not Being a Horrible Person
Kursk CTF was running. I believe both teams spawn about 90-95% of the time inside of the cabins/houses across from barns with flag in middle. If you get behind that house and lay C4 and blow it every spawn cycle, taking out several players each time where there is no chance to react or fight back, w...

El Alamein CTF
Was this map modded by someone here at EA117, or is it a "standard issue" from somewhere? The lack of SA3 on blue team is severely limiting to any semblance of balanced game play. SoutherCross was on red team tonight and the imbalance went from bad to pathetic . I'm tempted to recommend we...

I'd be game to try new stuff, but I think that iterative updates to existing games require a larger user base to be successful.

Re: Inside the Wall on Al Nas
No one but me. Jagd was off to the side, but within the tiny alleyway, not inside the walls with me. Roger Trench on glitches. I actually had this happen INSIDE a Shilka on Kharkov or Kursk. I was literally inside of it, same thing, see through, but could see edges and see people around me. I think ...

Inside the Wall on Al Nas
So - I was on Al Nas last night and got out of a technical next to the building/wall along the south river next to blue flag. I must have gotten out right in between the wall and the technical because when someone shot a SMAW or something to blow it up, it popped me inside the wall. This is what it ...

Re: List of Maps that should be removed.
What we really need is a tiny rush map a la Counter Strike's "Iceworld"

Re: List of Maps that should be removed.
It seems like the map rotation is rather lengthy now. Used to only be a dozen maps or so. Not a problem, but I do enjoy when an admin runs Al Nas or other CTF map right around prime time 9-11pm Eastern (GMT -5) Or is just taking a pulse of the crowd to see if a particular map or map variety is in vo...

Re: List of Maps that should be removed.
One man's garbage is another man's treasure. I'm somewhat ambivalent on which maps come or go. I do enjoy CTF more than conquest typically, but if I've learned anything in my years here, it's that just about every map is both loved and hated by different people. Not sure if admins have access to sta...

Was walking out of Home Depot in Maryland when I heard an airplane rumble that sounded a bit off for a commercial jet. Looked up and sure enough, a strange shape in the sky. Somewhat unusual to see military aircraft in this whole area. No major bases with regularly air force flights (Andrews is a wa...
