The only way I could beat it the other day was to creep up in my vehicle to just inside the capture circle, and as soon as the flag grayed, back up quick to get away from the C4 blast zone. Worked once. The other time the tard was playing cat n' mouse, and Engineer or not your dead.

What's the consensus on laying C4 around a flag? Legal, bad form, illegal? Seems a sure way to guarantee kills once the flag goes gray. Only option is to wait for an Engineer while not turning the flag gray.
