MD5 tool

Post by Nightstalker »

Just to let everyone know there is something going on with the server. MANY people are getting kicked. You will notice a substantial amount of lag and then boom. Kicked for 2 minutes. It doesnt seem to be an issue with your PC or setup it apprears to be server side as we went to the battle server and another without any issues. Some that were playing were new installs like mine and others just the opposite. I dont know what more info I can give to the guys that can fix this but hopefully we can do something.

I think with the amount of crashes the server recieved in the past week it may have corrupted/damaged some PB files, a possible PB reinstall would be suggested as alot of us getting kicked constantly.

just rereading the original post..so for "figuring it out" sakes...

not a new install here..Jess and I both have been installed for yrs (since our last reinstall)..no updates, etc.
I am running XP, Jess is Win7.
Neither is running TS right now.
We're using no spyware/Av stuff
we're running via wifi from one cable connection

I am pretty sure that this is server side as well. I know when I am about to be kicked for it (very laggy for about 30 seconds before the kick) and I watch several people get kicked during the course of the match for the PB MD5 tool who complain about the lag just before getting kicked. This does not happen to me on other servers so I am inclined to believe that the server has some residual issues from the recent attacks. I did see someone mention that they "updated" PB and they no longer get kicked (I forgot who it was). Unfortunately it looks like even balance has not supported BF 1942 since 2008...

I am not sure what needs to be done server side (Uninstall/reinstall PB?) but I am sure it will get fixed soon. I will check back often because this is hands down my fav DC server.

Hope this is helpful!

I'm still getting constant Md5 queries errors anx getting kicked . Hopefully you guys get this worked out. I'm noticing a lot of people getting kicked for this issue so the last couple of times I've been on the servers been virtually empty. I have other games but I get the most enjoyment out of this one. Hopefully you guys get this handled. I'd hate to lose DC forever. Thanx for all you do admins. Hope to see you guys on the battlefield again soon.

Has anyone tried connecting today? Swanny put a ticket in with the server provider and they said they switched some settings and to try it again.

July 27 , I was on by myself playing around, 20-25 mins, with no problem then couple more came on and within 5 mins I got kicked. Not sure if md5 problem or not, what happens to me is it will not let me spawn, I select a spawn site and the message on top of screen keeps asking me to select a spawn, then I get KD shortly after that. Just thought I would add this as extra info about the problems. :(
