How long have you played BF1942 ?

Well since the game is older now I thought it might be an interesting topic to see how long people have been playing BF1942 and DC

I will start
I started playing 1942 when it came out in 2002ish and DC around DC.3 but I distinctly remember when DC .4j came out (which introduced basrahs edge)
I fell in love with the mod ever since. My PC can handle all the BF series and newer games just fine but nothing can compare to the simple and FANTASTIC gameplay of DC 0.7 (especially flying) BEST GAME EVER!

Same here. I started with BF 1942 but got frustrated with the slow game play. When DC came out I never looked back. I really liked the DC mods of the Forgotten hope maps. I wish someone would release something like DC gold. Also wish EA117 would run DCF maps.

I started playing around 2003, I actually started playing this game at my friend's computer cafe. I liked the game so much that I went to the store and bought myself a copy of the game and been playing ever since.. as far as what version I played with, I have no idea.

I started playing around '03 when my brother introduced me to PC gaming. I used to play alot of console games. I liked BF 1942 and DC alot so I bought myself a copy and have been playing ever since. I found EA117 a couple of years ago and play there 99% of the time. By far the best server with the best admins.

'42 was first introduced to me at a LAN party a long time ago.
I was hooked instantly.

I didn't stumble across DC until a couple of years ago.

My game now includes 1942, RTR, Secret Weapons, EoD, 1918, DC, and FH mods

I didnt play 1942 until around 2005 when I left for college, been playing DC in one version or another since then. Before 1942 I played a lot of TRIBES, by far one of the best FPS of all time(could even play it on a 56k without a problem). But after my clan stopped playing TRIBES i moved on to 1942 for $10. Ive played almost every shooter than has come out in the past years but always come back to 1942 and DC. I also play a lot of command and conquer and other RTSs.

I started playing '42 in the 1st month it was released. I began gaming online with Tribes 1 and switched to '42 as Tribes began to die out. I have played all 42 mods that I can find including: EOD, DC Final, Pirates, 2042, 1918, and others

I play BF1942 since December 2002 and i play to DC since version .3. I played on organized tournament 21stcenturywarfare.net btw 2003 to 2006.

I brought BF42, in begin of 2003 in order to change of CS and play with some friends.
I stopped in begin of 2006 for about 2years, cause of MMO playing, then I tried some other BF games such BF2, BF2142 but I have no retrieve the gameplay of BF42 + DC and finally I come back with BF42/DC some month ago.

i started in 2003 when my cousin bought the game. but like the other post above 1942 slow gameplay got me bored. i played RTR, secret weapons, and vietnam. i stil go to vietnam every once in a while. it sucks that the commands are differant buttons on vietnam but thats another story. i been a regular on this server for about a year or so. but it was hard when it was 30 players to get on. much easier now that its 36.

Jan 2003 a post Christmas present to myself ... best one I ever got me!
I joined Underground Garage ... I cant remember 2003 I think. UG operated a 24/7 El Al no rules server and were forced to capitulated to my extreme Kampin skillz with a tank ... Id park it in the hanger up against the ammo box and wrench away.
I tried the BF2 stuff but it was to .. gawdy with all its ranks and medals and imo wasnt a whole much of a tech jump as far as actual game play. My CPU certainly can handle the big games. I jus love DC .. would prefer final though. I got real good using the linebackers in Final.
I know some o ya get a lil poopy about my ... ahem .. shilka skillz ... sorry I dont like it either its jus what those particular maps offer. I prefer wide open tank maps like Desertshield, El Al and Eastings and getting into rolling tank duels .. thats what I really like .. o shooting down helos and jets ... and Spec .. I shoot him down and I'm good fer the whole day.
I think most o u guyz know when I call u a pos its a compliment .. and if u dont .. U freakin pos .. i love u anyway
One more thing I like about the Team fps game ... comradery . Ya I get a lil "exited" at times and my typing skillz break out .. and it negatively impacts my game .. can't help it jus the way im wired (I do take meds)

played it first in a gaming center with a friend. played it with ghost recon. i remember trying to fly helo with mouse was impossible!!
bought bf1942 first then bought subsequent versions to keep up, secret weapons, etc.
went to dc when i heard about it and never looked back.

Playing it since it came out in a demo, I am as addicted as ever.

And admittedly, this server is a major reason why... such a great server with so many cool people...it's the first server in this game where I've actually added "friends" in game.

Haha that's crazy, basically exactly the same thing i did. I went to a gaming cafe and then i played BF1942 for like 30 minutes. I had no freakin idea what i was doing but i liked it and bought it a week later.
