Volto. The percussionist from Tool (Danny Carey) just shows his skills. I would call it heavy Jazz with a touch of metal.

the drum licks on this are just bat shit crazy stuff....very "fresh" music style that turns me on.

Swanny, to me that had a Depeche Mode/Doors'ish vibe. I will be playing that one again.

Just wanted to stop and say that in recent times I have not found anything more awesome than Alt-J. Really catches me with the use of bass but then breaking of convention in every other aspect. So anyway, just wanted to say "Thanks" and recommend the entire Awesome Wave album for listening.

I should amend that: Another posting here that was really valued was the "Transatlantic Sessions 5 - Sarah Jarosz with Alison Krauss - Run Away" posted some time ago. As much for the video as for the music.

Alt +J was my find for the year. One of those bands that just didn't sound like anything I had heard before. I feel the same way about Queens of the Stone Age, although I didn't care for them at all when I first heard them. They are now up VERY near my tops bands of all time.

It goes on a tad too long. This knuckle head ( Matt Sorum) went to High School with me. We surfed a little in So. Cal. back in the day. I even went to Axels house in Hollywood when they were still a garage band playing in the local clubs. I should have hung around more!

Hell yea, thanks for that. Funny I thought of you yesterday (I know sweet right). I was listening to the radio and a station here has what they call, The Acoustic Den. No need to explain it really with that name but various artist come and play there. Its normally for some publicity and hype before the actual concert the following night or day. Anyways, the next two in the line-up are Alt-J and Queens of the Stone Age. I am trying to see if I can win some tickets as you can not buy them. They do post videos, so when they do, I will try to remember to give you the links along with posting some of the videos on here.
