HI All,
I played the new Berlin map the other night and liked it. However, there is still the problem of blue getting trapped by it's spawn flag. Those 2 narrows corridors lend a natural trap for blue which red does not have.
1) Have you guys considered added a parachute spawn for both sides?
2) Or if not a chute spawn then perhaps moving the blue spawn to the closest flag and having only 1 uncap flag?
Each side could fight it out for just the 1 flag.
Either way this map needs some more tweaking.
Thoughts?

I prefer to not have changes that don't reflect on the map, such as flag radius (with the exception of base point balancing where the ticket "flashing" to indicate a bleed is not necessarily accurate).
Now that we know how to add the floating points I'd be down for leaving the red a cappable and maybe adding a spawn point or two. My difficulty is that people will land on roofs not originally intended to be part of the field of battle - not a HUGE deal necessarily, like on maps where we've added helos where none existed previously, but it would require some testing.

Maybe add a carrier in the river at the oposite side with nothing on it and give red an uncap.

i always like berlin but i have to ask lev who modded this map why he gave red and uncap? red does'nt need help on this map. if blue can make it out of all the camping and raping going on then good for them.
i agree with giving blue a parachute drop somewhere to make it interesting.

I think the whole idea behind giving red an uncap is that now the primary battle is for the 2 middle flags, the tickets value of each flag was changed to 50 per each base, it now takes 100 total to start the bleeding. Now if any team owns 2 of the flags then the tickets will start bleeding. Now I can see Rambo's point of view where red doesn't really need any help but that is why blue gets the styrker, its important for blue to play as a team on this map more than on any other.
The VSS was an issue before also on this map, now red(axis) spawns with an AK with their spec ops unit, blue(coalition) will spawn with a mp5. There are a few other ww2 weapons that have been added close to each teams assigned main. Now, that being said.. I don't think this map will make it on to the rotation for 1 reason, this map is 2 small and invokes continuous nade spamming of blue's main.

It should also be noted that large death bubbles have been placed around both assigned uncaps.
Last time I played, I noticed an eternal burning Stryker by Red main, a painful lesson.
As it is, Red can no longer access the 'back entrance' to Blue main either, which *should* give Blue a little breathing room.
The only other adjustment I can see is lengthening the spawn time to diminish main camping and allow each team time to actually get free of their nade spammed mains.

Gee I think Berlin would be fun without any flags .. jus chute in and infantry tactics away ... jus plain ol killin.
Cuz ya I'm the first to find a sweet spot and I gotta admit I like gettin in that pile at south end of street that controls both outlets for blue ... with a PK and role em up. Thats the biggest problem on Berlin is blues access to map from the uncap.
Or no mains .. jus chute in and 1 flag to cap.
