Ya that was one of our other buds with his plane. We set it up that way. Closure rate was about 180-200 knots, not too fast but very cool looking.

Was that even legal to do that manuver RP ? I mean aint you guys on radar and tracked ?

What's funny is one of those pilots is former ATC .. Air Traffic Control ... I am sure "that" pilot knew there was some sirens going off LOLOL

Actually yes it was a legal maneuver. We were VFR, which means "see and avoid". We are allowed to fly in formation also. The flight was conducted in "uncontrolled airspace" over an unpopulated area. In Canada you guys have more restricted airspace than we do down here. You guys have "controlled VFR" down to 12,500 and lower in other places. It's fun stuff. Nighty is right though, my ATC backround comes in handy for that kind of stuff.
