Crap, Crap, Crap

Post by Sarge 1/68th Armor »

No one has seen me in a while. Ya, ya...F U.
I have been selling off everything including the house. Bought a F350 SuperDuty crewcab, 29' trailer with slide outs and going to do some off grid stuff up in the hills.
Long story short I packed up my computer and games. Found a laptop by bide my time figured I would do some BF42 and find out Origin dropped the free download last month. I'm not digging in the storage locker. Any ideas? Searched the web and didn't find shit.

Thanks Sarge.
Ya homos.

I've never used it and cannot say anything from personal experience, but Team-SiMPLE has been providing a Battlefield 1942 download ever since EA stopped selling it. It used to be advertised on their download page or forum index, but the link is a bit more buried among forum posts now for whatever reason, so I've included the link here directly:

Battlefield 1942 download (908 MB)

Note they also offer the Battlefield 1942: The Road to Rome expansion (281 MB) and the Battlefield 1942: Secret Weapons of WWII expansion (455 MB), which are still linked to from the Team-SiMPLE forum index.

Try to remember to wear pants whenever you see a band of hikers or ATF agents coming.

If that F350 is a diesel, I hope it is either new enough to have a 6.7 or old enough to have the 7.3. A lot of people have had problems with both the 6.0 and the 6.4 engines. I know of personally 2 rl friends that both had the 6.0 diesel and they both went kaput. All kinds of injector replacement and overheating issues. Not trying to scare you or anything, just my 2 cents.

Thanks Turtle. After months of research based on what I needed, sadly Chevy came out dead last. The Dodge 12 valve and Ford tied for first. Couldn't get a Dodge set up around here. I do have the 6.0 but if its done right its a reliable engine. I have all the upgrades. Stud kit, new injectors and glow plugs, gasket kits and EGR delete. I lucked out it also gas the 42 fuel cell. Hwy I can get up to 800 on a full tank. So far, so good.

Yeah, my friend also had all of that stuff done too, but he still had a lot of issues with that motor. He bought it supposedly with no problem and he didn't even make it back to his house. He had to drop like $2K on the thing and then when he got it back it still wasn't right. He ran it for a while and it went down on him again and he had to drop like another $2k on it again and then he finally sold it and got a cummins. Biggest thing is I think ford/international messed up with was the 4 head bolts per cylinder. I think a lot of diesels have 5-6 head bolts per cylinder. I think that leads to a lot of problems with the head gasket and then overheating or oil/water mix. That and also the oil cooler had a lot of problems too from what I have been told. I never have owned one so I really don't know from first hand experience, but that is what I have been told. I have also seen a few of them on youtube vids. I know that 1puglife on youtube has had to rebuild his once already and I think it is on it's last legs again. I also know that reponut on youtube (has the 6.4) has had to rebuild his like twice now. I think this last time he had to put a new engine in. I wish you all the best with it and I hope it is trouble free for you.

The stud kit eliminates the head bolt situation from stretching and blowing head gaskets. The biggest problem was definitely the cooler. That EGR cooler system caused many problems, contaminating the oil. That's why I went with the EGR delete kit. It eliminates that problem. I talk with a lot of mechanics because I didn't want to get stuck with a lemon. All gave a thumbs up on this beast. She tows 10,000lbs on cruise control at 75 when I hit the hills, just push the tow/haul button.

You talking about your gay porn moments with your air force bff and ineptitudes within the need of a stud kit? :22: Maybe see you soon, my bearded, biker, douche-nut, lunch-box...

Keep well :6:
