Ah dam. You took the para spawn point away in Tobruk. I'm not digging it now.

I think it's good it was removed.. something about it just didn't work..

I think..just MHO.. that if they made an uncap blue main on the other side of the lake, much like the Docks map...with Zodiaks and a transport helo..that would balance that map perfectly...not sure how doabler that is..but I think it would at least be worth a shot.

I too was surprised to see the parachute spawn point missing. Seems too easy for red again.

The change I would like to see for that blue main flag is the capturable area shrunk dramatically so that you have to be in the open to take the flag. Its terribly annoying that if you're blue and someone can take the flag from inside a building without even being visible.

Still a fun map though.

We tried that, Hav3n, and here's the deal:

When you make the cap radius smaller on the flag, the in-game radius does shrink. The gray flag icon that you see on your screen as a player though, indicating that you are in the flag zone, does not change. What ends up happening is someone gets into one of those buidlings and sits there, thinking they are in the zone but never being able to cap that flag. This is because even though the change is made server-side, the radius as shown in the client is based on the client files. To make a consistent change we would have to create a new version of the map and distribute it to everyone, otherwise anyone with the original version would get kicked every time it came up in the rotation.

Ah. I see the dilemma there.

Perhaps take the helicopter away from red team then...? So they can't do those stealth HALO (High Altitude Low Opening) parachute drops that are hard to detect.

But anyways, easy for me to blab when I don't actually have to make a decision or code it or whatever. :-)

I know one thing I really am happy with is the adding of an American gunship finally...we really needed that 30cal Blackhawk to help level things a bit

Red helo has been changed to a gun version as well, which tempts pilots into being Stinger food.
Less 'HALO' drops, as formerly stated.

Current Tobruk is pretty balanced, provided you set up good defense (blue) or offense (red), and teamwork, teamwork, teamwork.

I'm still working on some more minor tweaks, but we'll see what happens there.
