I got kicked last night

Post by fireWIRE »

(I'm not complaining nor am I mad since I got back in, these are just my thoughts on the subject)

...Omaha Beach

...because noobs don't know what a mine symbol is and/or they just don't pay attention

Coalition was coming up the far side cliff (by the defgun, their left, our right).
So I threw down some mines to prevent this.
...well, little did I know my own team would run right over them to go down the cliff.
...heck, the first time I tk'd a truck load of 3, then 1, then another... then I was booted. LOL.

Really, do players not get it? They could easily go to the right just a few feet to avoid them and go down the hill.

It's always been a sticky issue with BF about mines and tks. You want to prevent the other team from rolling up to your flag but you have to have some savvy players on your side to make it work.

discuss...

this is typical on omaha. if you put mines down, expect noobs and/or retards to run them over. I agree it's ridiculous that people dont get the concept of how to defend on red and that mines are everywhere. usually i dont play omaha because of this. Ive been kicked countless time because of noobtard teammates continually doing it. its one of the many maps where being a team player will get you a horrible score and even kicked. When half the team is sniping and blue guys are driving up to top at will and you try to help only to get -4 in less than 2 minutes, its frustrating. i like the map, but most of the time the players who just dont get it ruin it for those of us who try. pissing me off even more are the players who run over your mines on purpose, and there are quite a few on the list. so in conclusion, if you help your team to win, your team will help you get kicked, welcome to battlefield.

just a q for the admins: is going down to the beach legal still or is it considered an uncap main? ive seen some admin(s) tell people to get off the beach and some dont seem to care. I think the beach should be fair game for red seeing how red cant cap the flag anyway and knifing snipers is hard from 200 yards away...

I'll check with the other admins and see what their take is on it.

Until then, the blue beach flag is OK to be attacked.

Haha no kidding. When I got -6 with one mine players were saying "WTF fireWire?" haha

Doesn't blue have a boat to spawn from. Is it sinkable? If so then camping the uncap is fine until the boat sinks.

But Omaha beach was a camp-fest in WWII for the Germans anyway.
