I can not wait to see this movie. My BIL is serving in the Navy right now aboard the USS Michael Murphy ;)

I read Lutrell's book. Awesome story. Truly brave heroes. Outnumbered but not outgunned, they fought 'till the last man. I suggest reading the book if you all have the time. Sure a movie is easier but it leaves out the little details that make it all the more captivating.

I read book a few years ago. Watched the movie in theaters.

I highly recommend both but if I had to chose one, I would recommend reading the book. The movie is great but as in most adaptations, the book is much more intense and really paints the picture of what Luttrell and his team went through. I believe reading the book prior to watching the film made the experience much more enjoyable.

This is especially important if you are watching w/an individual that instead of paying attention while watching a movie, would rather have her husband explain the plot, characters and scenarios as the movie progresses.

Regardless, the movie is great.
