I was playing El Alamein yesterday and was using the car bomb to attack the enemy main. I think that I might have aggravated a few players as well as OfTheHook. I wa sjust assuming that a runaway carbomb running over people in the enemy main until i spotted a good target was a good tactic. OTH thought otherwise so I will not do it. (it is funny to watch the bodies go flyin though)

I do have a question. I have in the past used the carbomb to sneak into enemy mains to steal there most tactically important aircraft (AC-130, A-10 or Frog). Is that considered bad play? Drock

I would consider this fair game. This is no different than pilots bailing from their planes and stealing the enemy vehicles/planes.

Now if it's a slaughter and you are on the winning team, I would refrain from doing that so the other team can have a chance.

ive had a little time to think about this one drock its kinda tricky. as far as stealing vehicles or planes, i thought the rule was u cant kill to do it. meaning u cant kill people in the main to steal something. thats just my understanding of that rule. as far as carbombs go? i dont know myself, personally i think if u go down with the bomb then everything is fair game. if u ride into main and bail, steal a plane, then the bomb blows, thats breaking the first rule i mentioned. i think the complint that nite was that u were driving around the main running people over? if u were and died with the bomb then u did nothing wrong. thats just my opinion

This is a grey area...a carbomb (lada/multi player free camera) is a tactical weapon that is allowed to attack mains. It's only on a couple maps so it's kind of a privilege that needs to be used with a certain amount of tact.

Personally I play and enforce the rules the same with car-bombs. Do not drive around opposing main and run people over. I am not going to avoid you if I see you in my line of target and will mow you down but will not make abrupt turns to run you over. Generally only pilots as I am stealing a plane..or if someone is shooting me while I am parked at a SA3 and waiting to blow up.

I only attack SA3, scud, or runway..when I attack runway I will beep, get out and hopefully steal a plane before the BOOM.
I have not had any luck getting the lada INTO the C130 yet..if I could set off a carbomb inside the C130 while blue pilot was flying..

I have also beeped at base of blue SA3, stole blue lada, and beeped at other blue SA3. I would however not steal blue lada then steal another vehicle or plane. Plan what your going to do and execute it, don't screw around, look for people to run over, wait for someone to show up, wait for a certain vehicle to spawn to steal, etc. etc. You have about 5-10 seconds maximum in opposing base to get your job done..after that your screwing around and I will put my foot up your ass.

I truly enjoy the lada on EL Alamein and probably sound like I push the boundaries a little..which is also why I don't allow abuse of it beyond what I know I do.. and when... and how. It's a "bonus feature" that could be removed easily. Use it with some TACT and even the people you kill will laugh about it instead of bitching about it.

When people complain about others abusing the lada in mains in disruptive ways I do respond quickly and will not hesitate to put my foot up your ass.

I will also add that another admin very well may not anyone else get away with I have already done..that's just how I play it and how I will rule it as admin. I also know HOW to use the carbomb TACTFULLY...as in a clean and fun way.

In response to Tools comment ... i am with ya .. I crack the F up if i get killed my the Lada ... for a couple of reasons .. ONE ... I just got me ass blown to pieces ... but 2 that someone drove ALL THE WAY and made it to the opposite main without getting killed ... MAD PROPS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also ... ummm will you put a foot up their ass if they do something wrong with the lada Tool ... just a question that we are not sure about

Great thanks for the feedback. I will take tools lead on this and just stick to attacking main with car bomb and just do that, attack the main with carbomb.

One thing about this game is that it is fun to discover new and interesting tactics for each map. That is usually why I am not a high scorer anyway because I am always trying new things.

I kind of agree with nighty in the fact that it is funny trying to take out a car driving all over your main as well as running over people but I also agree that is not the intended use of that weapon anyway and some people get pissed about getting run over. Got it, wont do it anymore.

One final question.

Its illegal to drive a car to a plane but can I fly a plane to get a car?
