I've heard several people say that the map rotation needs to be tweaked, I think its been on the same rotation for a several months now so it might be time to mix it up a bit.

What type of rotation would make you happy? List the type of rotation that you would like to see and we can see if we can incorporate some of you suggestions into the lineup.

Thanks for running this vote and asking for our opinion Spec.

Maps I wouldnt mind seeing get dropped:
- NFZ
-Omaha (current version)
-Cornered

Maps I would enjoy in rotation:
-El Alamein Day 3 (version with the jets replaced with 42 planes, ya I said it jet boys)
-Philipines was fun the last time a admin ran it.

*** Maybe a TDM map would be nice aswell

Sorry but that is a KILLER signature Johnny .... I really like that one.

Ok back to the topic at hand. I think Kharakov plays out well especially when there is a small amount of people.I wouldnt care if Coastal Hammer was off the rotation. That map seems to have such a slow start. I think it would be cool to change Lost Village to DCF as I think that version is better. IMHO Philipines is fun wih alot of people. Oh and lets get rid of First Light. I bet when that map comes up !runnext is typed in more than any other maps. So no to Costal Hammer and First Light, switch Lost Village to final, and throw in Kharakov and Philipines.

As you know they we are still going to get complaints about the changes. Even when we run something new we are gonna hear "THIS MAP SUCKS!!!!!!!" But I am all for some new maps. :)

I think maybe a ctf or two in there might be fun - no fly zone and Kharakov are good ctf's, El Naz too... (sidenote, el naz isn't bad with small groups too, but not conquest - for one thing, you have to glitch into the building to turn one of the flags - and when spawning in that building it's even a worse glitch...but it's a really fun ctf map) :)
Weapons bunker imho should be on the list with First Light, (current) Omaha, Lost Village (Agree with NS about DCF version of this, also - LV DCF is a fun ctf :D )
I really think even just switching up the rotation order more often (more often than switching the maps in the rotation) will take away from some of the 'getting old' types of feelings... just a thought too ;)

First off, the maps that I would like to see removed are Cornered, First Light, Costal Hammer, Weapons Bunkers, Iwo Jima, maybe even Uraban Siege and Omaha .

Omaha definitely needs some tweaking to help with balance.
Docks should really be CTF to help with balance.
El Alamein could be switched out with Day 2 or Day 3, more teamwork and there are already a lot of maps dominated by jets.
Lost Village DCF is a great idea.
NFZ CTF would be a nice change.

As for maps that I would love to see added:

Berlin CTF
Al Nas CTF
Battleaxe if we can get it fixed
Kharkov is a well balanced and great map for small and large numbers.

Sorry but a light bulb just went off in my head ... either that or the wind is started blowing and replaced the old air. .. :? . Anyways, did we ever figure out the issue with Market Garden ... I know the server really seemed to like running that map and even though we played it 10 times in a row .. (thanks Tooly hahahahaha :lol: :P )it was alot of fun sooooo, if it does work that would be a GREAT map to add to the rotation.

i agree with night that market garden should be added. but brink r u crazy, removin el al would be stupid. omaha is never gonna be removed, and urban seige its pretty cool. weapons bunkers would prolly be fun as ctf. and i really agree dc final maps should be removed, well only a few. i still say my version of guadal canal and bulge should be played. but im sure they can make this rotation alot better.

remove nofly, eastings, cornered, and first light. none of them are fun on a regular basis, and would be better as occasionally admin added maps (plus they are too big, which kills numbers late night)

add some version of berlin, kharkov, and stalingrad. also it would be nice to see el al day 3 and al nas. bridge can also be fun.

Searigs I tend to alt+F4 , but if Bocage ever came up on the chopping block I would fight tooth and nail to keep it , prob even bite too lol.

Sorry but I love BOTH maps. Especially Sea Rigs.

What should happen is the map rotation should be given over to any admins that still play this server so that they can alter it or run "special" maps whenever they feel the need to. :D

Rally .. I am ASSuming you are joking here. I think you know the admins can run any map loaded in the server anytime. So if there is something you want to run and you see us on just let us know. ;)

My preferences are the exact opposite of Boon regarding Sea Rigs and Bocage Day2. Sry buddy...

But some more infantry maps would be nice. Perhaps add Al Nas CTF (which seems to be popular) to break up the vehicle-heavy rotation of Twin Rivers -> Guadalcanal -> El Alamein -> Desert Shield -> Wake? Thanks. :D

Bocage is fun for me because it has a bit of everything, the ground battle for the windmill, the ground and air battle at north village and just the air battle at south. Its not to big of a map so getting into the action right away is fun and most of all the map is not killed by having jets and helos mixed together.

I do ask the public when there are smaller numbers on if they want a smaller map to play, or if the majority would like to try a map thats not in rotation once in awhile. You may not agree with me on Bocage you douche but I agree with you on CTF Al Nas lol, it is a fun map that was put in the last updated rotation but seems to have been removed along with CTF lost village.

I agree with the fewer numbers we should consider some smaller maps and dropping some of the bigger maps.

I would suggest shuffling what is already there for a change in pace since the server always resets to the top.

I love Gazala, but perhaps an infantry map at the top to get things going in the morning.

Also, aren't Aberdeen & Caen playing the same map ? Lose one ?

I know it is a download so it's difficult to put in rotation, but I would love to try more of Boon's Dustbowl mod. So If anyone is setting up a match on the battle server I would love to get in on that.
