I heard that the helos in Vietnam blew nuts due to them having the "auto" hover added to them. With a little coding that could be fixed but then again I dont have the files I would need to import them, but yes I agree they would be some neat additions for possible other maps im thinking of doing.

The problem with putting this in the the rotation would be that only the people that are frequent the forum and of course downloaded this would be able to play it. Otherwise I would bet it would work.

Exactly what NS said, would be very difficult at this stage in the game to mix both default maps and custom maps on the same server. But since Spec started up a 10 man server for it then we can always get a good game going at anytime when we get together. Could also make other frequent players on the server aware of the new server too, the map has had 52 downloads from gamefile alone so thats a good sign there is enough ppl to fill up the slots . I think what im going to do is mod a different map that is a bit smaller made for more infantry and tanks.

I wonder if there is someway to set the server up up so that if you do not have the map when the round starts, it will auto download? I know we wont be doing that but I seem to remember other mod/games/servers where that was set-to to occur.

Its not possible in bf42 to set a server to auto-download a map to a player, It would have been a nice feature as I think its Counter-Strike that did that.

That's right Johnny ... I am pretty sure the Half-Life family of mods would do that. I played DoD alot and it would autodownload.


Oh and I hate to tell you this but I downloaded it 41 times. So I was just trying to make you feel good after kicking the S outta you in the TK war

I played this map yesterday and we a had Dune Buggy race around the edge of map. There were four of us.

Needless to say Beaver cheated (bastiche!) by blowing up my buggy while chasing me down the home stretch!!
Can't trust those limeys!

It was a lot fun fun fun!

Makes me think we should organize a special race event with 2 or 3 peeps in each buggy.
