hey guys
pretty sure you guys know that i bitch a lot in game about lag. i always thought it was my net connection but lately i've been suspecting the video card, maybe even my system in general, because my 42 kicks me out of game when the video card is bogging down and/or crashes the game. my system is over 5 years old, my card, less than 2 years old (nvidia 650gtx). i know it doesn't take much to run 42/dc but i've been considering a modest pc build to solve my problems.
my current system is basically a stock asus system with a video card. i'm sure there are more factors to putting together an ideal system for gaming (and i'm pretty much just gonna use it for dc/42).
so could you guys post your system specs? i'd like to use it as a reference to buy parts. ram, cpu, motherboards, video cards, etc.
thanks
thongy

Re: gaming system specs?
I had played for years off a Core 2 Duo Macbook Pro running XP with bootcamp. 2007 model I believe.
256MB nVidia GPU.
4GB ram
160GB HD (XP partition was like 32GB)
Now I'm on:
AMD FX-6200 6-core (basically a budget 6-core AMD processor)
10GB ram
2GB Radeon HD 7570
1.5TB Seagate HD (not sure if its even 7200rpm)
Was on special as a HP refurb that Specialist posted here a little over a year ago on Woot!

Re: gaming system specs?
I need a new, cheap gaming PC as well. Something under like 500 bucks if possible. Mainly I want to play DC, BF3, maybe BF4, and DayZ and CS: Global Offensive and all Source games on it.
