Stingers on maps without AIR

Hello again,

In short, Captain Picard will help me explain this one:

Reason I'm bringing this up is coz I've read about people who complain about having Stingers on the AT spawnkits in maps WITHOUT helo's or airplanes.
I must say holding a Stinger when faced by an Hummer feels pretty stupid, not to mention being completely useless :15:

So.. I modified the Server version of those maps mentioned into different Spawnkits, saved it and put it online for download (all are DCF map versions):

Berlin
DC_Al_Khafji_Docks
Stalingrad

DCF Berlin:

swaps Stingers with Grenades; to compensate for no Grenades on Support class

swaps Grenades with Mortar (mobile light artillery)
game.setKit 2 5 US_MP5
swaps CAR-15 with MP5; IRAQ Spec Ops has a Non-Silenced gun too.
To compensate, ALLIES now have the ability to fire Mortars

ty and neo i want to modify my maps so i can play singleplayer and i wan to make huge change on maps will u showe me how to do it :D

Sure, converting to single player aint that hard, as you play the SP maps on your Computer locally. So in that way you can do pretty much anything.
Changing maps server side however, is more tricky. But I got a huge set of documentation about that , so I'm sure we'll sort it out. :D

Bumping old thread, but just wanted to point out that the stinger/grail has some redeeming qualities on maps without air targets. For example:
  • • Incoming mortar fire? Stinger/grail will insta-kill enemy mortars from long range.
  • • Spot a sniper on a hill/rooftop? A well-aimed stinger/grail will at the very least spook the sniper, and in some cases induce a fatal belly flop.
I rest my [s]poop[/s] case.
