Map project

i think i mentioned to Tona a week or so ago, regarding me working on a map.
it is a large scale map, that i am hoping can work well as CTF and CQ.
currently i am working on the terrain layout and added a few objects to test it.
this might take me sometime to finish so hang in there...i will post updates etc along the way.
doesnt mean it might be added to our current list...every now and again i just enjoy making maps

i can take a lil video footage of it...ill do some more work before though....but i am trying to make a map that has a few little side events, that people could mess around with in case there arent enough numbers to have a full round....i will post more soon ;)

I like it demonic. If you need help with anything I can certainly help. I’m pretty good with battlecraft. And currently making 3 DCF maps that I will release here for people to enjoy, and hopefully they spark enough interest to have custom maps in the rotation.

I can post a sneak peak here if y’all would like.

my map is slowly coming together..i work on it bits at a time after getting off work.....so far i have finished the land sculpting, placed all the major buildings...added the required spawn points for players and vehicles...atm i am adding the smaller items, doing small amounts of details to the land etc (trees and so on ).....to give you a hint of what it has, there is a designated knife fighting arena , and.......well i will leave it at that for now :D

okie dokie...i think i am almost done with this map....did a little more work on it the past few days......i havent done any rendering etc for shadows/lighting, so its in its bare bones state ( in case i need to add stuff )

i tried to give a Al Nas feel to it , in terms of fast flowing fun...but there are some extra areas to the side of the map for other forms of entertainment lol.

if anyone, Tona, etc, would like to take a look, let me know so i can send the file.......

dam i totally missed sarges post lol.......if i put sarges name on the wall, then some of us might be tempted to.............."paint" over it ?! :D

i am by no means a highly skilled map maker lol, but i did my best with what i can do......i might see if i can do a little footage on the map in its current state...just so you all can see if you like the lay out at least....

ok, here is a vid of the map as it is, in the current 'editing' state......IE : no shadows, lighting stuff etc.
the helo on the map wont stay...i only used it to get around the map each time i tested stuff out.

so you will see :
knife fighting arena
demolition derby arena with ladas >: D
buggy race area....it has 2 ways to running the track, depending on who wants what
then the main combat area.....

regardless of what comes of it, i still had fun making it :D

ty for the feed back so far gents :D...im spending time going over areas to make sure things are in place ( IE no floating trees etc lol )...its still rough around the edges in many ways, but im trying to fine tune it.
ive made maps in the past where there are areas for peeps to have off the side fun, like buggy racing if there aren't many people on etc....only issue im having is for some reason the 3 capture points arent showing up in CTF game play......i have the boxes checked for it , but they only show up in CQ..ill get to the bottom of it....i sent a copy to tona ( in its current state ) so hopefully he gets it, and maybe able to see whats causing it.

once i get that going, ill just do more of the cosmetic stuff ( takes longer )......then if it runs with no issues, then the final rendering.

then buggy racing ?! >: D
