I fancy myself a almost professional small engine mechanic. If you have any trouble with your small engine powered appliances, PM me and ill try to help you out before you spend any $$$ at a repair shop.

How the hell do I change the oil on my B&S mower without turning the whole thing upside down?
No damn caps anywhere!

No small engines here yet. I hire out the lawn because I'm lazy. But I did start thinking about a generator after Texas shit the -12°F bed.

Depending on the model, if you tip it up [always tilt with the Carburetor facing up or the spark plug up](assuming a push mower) there is usually a plug that fits the 3/8" drive end of a ratchet. Some have it, and others you have to flip it over or buy a suction pump.
The engines briggs sold without a plug were marketed to the big stores as "just check and add" oil. Never change it again. Which is BS

Get one with a Honda engine if you do.
