Does anyone here knows about brake systems? I am upgrading front drum brakes to disks and will leave the back with drums, I will upgrade the master cylinder to one with a double reservoir for the original is a single reservoir , I have been doing some research and people recommended to instal a proportioning valve so brakes wont lock, my question is that if those valves are standard or are they rated for different pressure etc.
Thanks

Yes you need them. You will lock up your front brakes. Discs will obviously stop better. Systems are set to brake more in the front than the rear. When you brake there's less traction on the rear tires. I believe its 80% front and 20% rear.
