Installing final client maps

Post by Sarge 1/68th Armor »

Sorry for sounding like a retard, but after files are down loaded it of course it want to be opened. It seems I do not have the proper program(?) to open it. Any help would be nice so you can all watch me die in the other maps too!

What are you trying to open? Did you download the whole mod or just the maps?

If you are trying to open the maps, you will need a special program since they are .rfa files.

Thanks for the quick reply Spec. If you are refering to the mod 0.7 then yes. All other map inf was accoreding to the link on our site redirecting to filefront. I am looking into some of the rfa programs. Any favorites in mind? Thanks again.

Thanks for getting involved Beaver. I do have the final mod, but when I try to open it (or run it) it asks what program. This is where I think I get choked up. I have used winzip and RFA Extractor, but it seems to get me know where. I send it to my bf42 folder. Wala crapo once again. This is were I need baby steps so I don't get confused;). Help, I'm melting!!

I've had this issue before also, for some reason it appeared that my system wasn't recognizing the .exe file so when I tried to run the program it would ask for a program to open the file with.

I just went the lazy way and d/l it to my other comp and moved it over to my new comp via transfer cable and I was good to go. Yes I did download it from the same site and it was the same exact file.

I uploaded the mod to one of my servers, download it from there and it should work for you.

Download by clicking on link -----> DC Final

Don't worry that it says it's the beta 3 version, this is the mod I use and have not been kicked for any mismatch.

Sarge if in this game , getting flustered and dieing a lot shows your age to be 51 then I am gonna need a walker to get around lolol ... you need to change that to the ripe "young" age ... you still have plenty of years left of playing. Were you in the service, just wondering by your name.

That is correct Nightstalker. 1-68 Armor, 1st Brigade, 8th Inf. West Ger. I noticed once that our map rotations had the Hurtgen Forest. I haven't seen it in a long time. I found it amusing, since my father fought that battle (it was the bloodiest of all campains) then was marched up to Bastone. He was also 8th Inf.(Pathfinders)

First let me say this .... THANK YOU .... you and your father for you service to this country and its people. I too was in the service but chose a different branch as I did not want to go to the front. Yall can call me a puss and that is fine but I chose the Air Force .... B1 crew chief .... I am honestly contemplating on going back.

That's what this game needs ... the BONE :) A little high altitude JDAM drop never hurt :) ...... the blue team lolol thanks again Sarge

Spec .... I figured out the PM LOL.... one problem YOU are still going to get it. For some reason it automatically puts the adminstration name/group in the "to" section and last time I checked you are part of that administration. ;) you are gonna get to hear from me all
the time lololol  .... I will say I don't remember it being that way prior to the change. OH and no ... if I hit the "X" box to remove the administration name out of the "to" section, it does not remove it.

Does this only happen when you reply to a PM or when you send a new one??

I tried to replicate your issue but I was unable to get what you are talking about.

This is what I get -- notice that the Administrators are under the group section. Is this what you are referring too?

If you CLICK that "administrators" group link it will add them to the To: field.

I did it once by accident.

Hey Swanny how did you get it to remove ... I hit the box with the x which should remove it but it doesn't. It works with individual players but not the administration group ????

If Administrators is selected when I hit Add, they show up with whoever else I was sending to - if I then click the X next to Administators, they go away.
