An Invite

Through a discussion with several players on the server yesterday, I thought I would invite some of you who are interested in improving your helo skills to our server.

Birds of Prey, [BOP] is a small helo clan that was formed out of a love for the Apache. Most of the players have been around since the inception of the Day 2 Freaks server, where it all began.
We have, by far, some of the most talented helo pilots in DC.

But, the invite isn't to draw you from this server to ours or to even recruit. Our idle map is El Alamein Day 3.
It is specifically modded for helo training "only."
There is no fog and no flags. There are Apaches and Hinds only. We have some specific rules for this map only as posted below.

# 1.) You must wait your turn. Intentional interruption of a 1vs1 fight is not allowed.
# 2.) You must face your opponent.
# 3.) You must give warning shots by use of Hydras.
# 4.) You must wait for the return warning shots from your opponent signaling "ready."
# 5.) You are both then free to engage.
# 6.) There is no swooping allowed.
# 7.) There are no gunners allowed.
# 8.) There is no drop-gunning allowed.

We also run a rotation of maps specifically geared for helos though the ground game is quite challenging especially since we have "no stingers."

We don't have near the traffic that we used, like a lot of servers, but if I see someone in there I will come in. This is the place to hone your skills. As with most aspects of the game, the more you go up against skilled players, the better you become.
Most any member will take the time to work one on one with you to help you attain some basic or more advanced techniques...as a matter of fact, if someone doesn't, let me know.

Server is pretty cool... fog isn't turned 100% off but still WOW battle field looks SWEET when you can see that far to bad thats not normal. I can understand it since it would be hard to find other choppers to battle without it being off.

I might have to check it out. I took on AIDS last night in a 1 vs 1 with a helo and lost 1-5. So needless to say I need some practice with the apache.
