Old signs

Post by c0loNeL »

Was doing a commercial demo last fall and seen this sign in the pile ready for the dump. It had been painted over with latex paint, but I thought 'what the hell' and grabbed it for my garage. Forgot about it till this spring when I was cleaning out the attic in my garage, and decided to clean it up. While taking the paint off I realized it was porcelain underneath, which made the paint removal very easy. I finally got to see what the sign said and did a little research.
:o :o
Sign is circa 1930's, and had it estimated at $600-$700. Checked a few auction sites, and found some of these have gone for $1200. Kinda feel like those guys on American Pickers. Wooohooo
