Smoke 'em if you got 'em

How about helping out a tired old American who's down on his luck. How the frock do you enable smoke in your tank?

Before you spawn or are dead, go to your customization screen and you should see a armor tab and from there you should be able to equip smoke or whatever you have unlocked.

Then i think you have to hit "x" when you want to deploy your smoke.

Sorry Larry, but smoking is no longer permitted in tanks. You will have to step outside, even in heated battle, to get your fix. Please consider the health of your fellow tankers.

Arg, I smoke 'em when I gots 'em. Steppin' on out for smoke means RFA fillz me full of holes and steals me tank, and drops mines and blows my ass to kingdom come when I come back for vengeance, Arg.

The tool tips or whatever you call them are useful. They should be ON by default in BF3 options.

I was in a tank one day and a message on the screen appeared saying, press "x" to smoke. I think I was playing as an engineer but I am not sure whether or not that matters.
