Remember this.Just because the lid is clear, you still can't eat thru it
Side note. In the upper left corner, Nighty pointed it out. Is that your drain or butt plug?

Re: Mordor
I am pretty sure that the outlet in your kitchen is a electrical code violation...you need a surge protector that close to a water source.

Re: Mordor
It is possible that the circuit is ground fault protected. If so, the breaker serving that circuit in the panel would have the little pop out tester you often find as part of a GFI receptacle and the receptacle can be standard. Often saves money to install one GFI breaker instead of multiple GFI receptacles on a single kitchen or bath circuit. My 2¢.Nightstalker wrote:Are Canadian codes different???

Re: Mordor
Are you talking about those arc breakers?
If so, I'm no fan. We had a string of outlets on one and the *tiniest* thing would set it off sometimes, other times you could plug in a 20 amp drill and run with no issues. I guess if you CANNOT use a clock radio then that device will never short and burn your house down.
But you're right, the circuit could have one of those excellent protection devices.

Re: Mordor
weird thing is, is if i plug more then 1 thing the breaker will trip, freakin mickey mouse contruction. The place was built 17 yrs ago and imho it's some shabby work.

Re: Mordor
Do as I say, not as I do.....
'round here, I've had good luck by unscrewing the 15 amp fuse and jamming a copper penny in its place. I'll tell you, it takes a lot longer for a penny to melt than those skimpy fuse wires.

Re: Mordor
GFI's are for punks! The world is overpopulated as it is! Let Darwinism run its course FFS. I tripped a 50 hp drive motor on our press section that was wouldn't stop by grounding it out with a screwdriver the other night. POS chinese encoder.
HI! I love you!
Re: Mordor
yeah I actually meant to say GFI....
and jack is correct about pennies....but I got to say that nickels last longer than pennies.
and to Grizzly.....I hope to hell you were using a Chinese screwdriver to bypass that encoder. I suggest using a USA made hammer to "adjust" the encoder and keep the screwdriver.
