The Air Force, Marines and Navy all play in the same pool they have "decks" ;)Only a Officer recieves an "Ah-ten-SHON" Myself and all other NCO's(with a rank of E-4 or higher) get a "At Ease" when entering a room followed be me saying "Carry On" Verify this with Nightstalker, although I think the same is action repeated except they can still hold their wine coolers and just mute the TV.:::warfare::: wrote:Flight!!! How the hell did Swanny's birthday thread get turned into this???
In the Air Force we gave the "attention" command when a commanding officer entered the room. Not a regular butterbar or your maintenance officer. Generally it was a Lt Colonel or above. There were some that would stand at parade rest or at ease when senior nco's and/or the MO would enter. But that was not common unless you had a lot of repsect for that individual. Not necessarily the rank even though some did not care. If rank entered you paid respect to the rank. Ona side note, the Air Force NCO's are E-5 and higher.
