I found that if you hover your mouse where the "Skip This Ad" button will be, your mouse will see the hyperlink before it shows up and you can actually skip the ad part altogether. You still get sidetracked for a couple seconds but I feel like I'm BEATING "THE MAN." So to speak.

How about this... I think if, say, ten of us regulars commit to having an automatic paypal withdrawal to pay swanny say $5/month or so, we can not only get our forums add free and on his own webhost/url, but also defray the costs of running the game server.

I'm down to do that.. and I'm sure I'mnot alone in this. Lets face it, we're all friends here and most of us are established enough in our lives to afford a measly $5 eh?
