Need NEW Game Recommendations

So, prior to the launch of BF3 I purchased a new Alienware box to dedicate to playing BF3. All the the PC has installed is BF3 (and 1942).

I still play BF3 regularly, but less and less - as most of the servers out there are chaos w/o proper management (full of cheaters and one sided battles). And the fact that most of you guys don't play anymore (run into Simon often though - hi Simon).

So, I would like to get into some other first person shooter type games, that have a good online presence (many people playing), cool weapons and a bit of strategy.

Any recommendations?

I started the DC update to 1942 a year ago or so, you know, the install this and then that and so on. Don't recall where I left off. I need to set time aside and finish it one way or another.

Maybe I will bring my G4 tower out of retirement for this

DC just has some of the best mechanics. Nowadays its all about looks and $$$$ sadly. Maybe Bf4 will bring the bf2 editions like commander and its abilities, bigger squads and Better ranking system like bf2.

DC had everything modern games don't have,,, modern games are more for kids and consoles who need to get the points and upgrades and all the other crap.. DC was just DC you got what you started with and everybody had the same, you got the flag someone else got it back. I wish bf3 was the same

It's awsome, and I can't stop plowing. There are tons of mods out there, and it's fun to play.
