Where in France are you at?
A few years back I did a week long business trip into Paris. Due to volcanic ash, I could not fly home as scheduled, so I stayed an additional week - vacation compliments of my employer
Did not really dig Paris, but Northern France is very nice. Lots of good battlefields to explorer.
