Can you really get an AR-15 for less than $1000?

According to Smith and Wesson we can. I am going to look into it more. There are two click to buy buttons. I click one and was taken to National Firearms Dealers and the price is 739.00 with a discount available. If I had the cash on hand, I would continue and make the purchase.

I actually don't know much about guns. I've only been shooting a few times. Shot my first deer last year.

Being that the AR-15 is public enemy #1 in many people's minds, it has always perplexed me why the anti-gun lobby goes after rifles (or so called "assault" rifles) when clearly the most dangerous and pervasive are handguns.

By the way, why the "Reagan's Farewell Speech" line?

Listen what he actually says, in contrast to what you hear today. It was the 25th anniversary of his farewell speech. One that the youth of today did not get to hear.

The left love to portray evil on weapons that they don't like. They play on the ignorance of people and the lack of education on firearms in general. They utilize the word assault to scare people and it works. They don't tell people that the exterior is just plastic and many parts are made by the toy company Mattel (or used to be). Any weapon used to hurt another is an assault weapon, no matter what it is.

They don't tell people that the 5.56mm caliber is smaller than the a 9mm handgun, or .357 revolver, .45 semi automatic. It's all a scare tactic. I hope that answer your question.

I thought it was because those lobbyist were racist. Since they call the AR the "black" rifle. Huh ... shows what I know.

Powerful stuff. It is a shame we don't still have a President like that. :30:

I've heard my parents talk about how positive they felt about America when he was President. He lifted the nation.

President Reagan made the world fear the United States. It was an honor to serve back then. Our military should ignore everything that comes out of the White House. I pray for a military coup on day. A real CTF.
