The idea of a global event occurring in 2012 based on any interpretation of the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar is rejected as pseudoscience by the scientific community, and as misrepresentative of Maya history by Mayanist scholars.

Well, regardless, I see it this way...when the day comes, we'll see what happens.
I figure you're right, nothing will happen at all, aside from maybe some cultists commiting mass suicide like in '99.
However, even if there is an event...there isn't a damn thing we can do to change it anyway lol.

I just saw this movie and it was pretty cool. A lot of destruction and action.. all packed into 158 minutes!!

We went to see it last night - it's a fantastical story, so if you're the kind to pick a movie apart beause "THAT NEVER COULD HAVE HAPPENED" and like to exclaim "NO WAY" when something crazy happens then skip it. If you like a great story with enough action to cause mass anxiety in the theater, then go see this - and it's worth the price of a ticket to see it on the big screen.
