Is EA 117 old enough to drink yet? I think so...

Post by toolman »

Hello all...long time no kill. :)

I'm alive and was just chatting with a couple of the old guard and can't believe this is STILL going. OUTFUCKINGSTANDING is all I have.

Now I'm going to see where my CD is (or go through another process through here somewhere Im sure) and probably make some accidental friendly kills since it's been like 10 years.

My son just built a super sexy PC (even got hands on nice card in Dec if ya can believe that with the shortage) that still won't help him be better than my mid level laptop. BUHAHAHAHA..

Hope to meet some new blood...and especially hoping to have some fun with any from the olde guard kids.

Hi toolman. would be terrific to see you back on the server.

installing has never been easier. i like HairyRussianDude's method here:
viewtopic.php?f=62&t=6302

if you use win10, you'll also need to enable DirectPlay
viewtopic.php?f=62&t=5308

i have done this tons of times now, let us know if you run into any trouble.

cheers

Appreciate the upkeep...having win 10 nuked a bunch. Guys like spec and swanny got this game through EA and DICE and blah blah...realize the work it can take so thank you. :38:

This vid was made when BF3 was maybe a month or 2 old...Really a bunch of EA117 guys doing stuff we couldn't do with original BF game. Getting multiple players in vehicles to get camera shots of being idiots in 2005 was cutting edge stuff. Good times from old timers. ;)

I feel like Tool did a great cover of a Led Zep classic, maybe No Quarter?

I mean, it's ok. I've never heard anyone cover this so all I have is the original to base it on.
But I'm a wee bit of a Zep fan so...

Tool does an excellent cover of no quarter...and I don't like covers AND it's Led Zepplin...but diligence is due there. I'm a long time Tool fan, saw them small stage Lallapalooza 2 1995 that was epic show and time....

anyway my laptop is gonna suck for playing so getting old tower from kid and moving it to a actual place to play right in next week or so....I hope to be playing with some sense shortly.
