EA 117 Shortcut

Here is a little short cut that should cut your load time in half.

Just right click on your game launch icon and click on properties, you will want to enter the information there exactly as it appears below. **If your BF game is loaded on another drive other than C, then all you need to do is modify the C to whatever your drive letter is**

Before, changing anything on your icon.. I would make a copy of that shortcut icon and modify the info on the shortcut icon. This way if you happen to mess up, all you have to do is delete the shortcut.

To skip the intro movie and go straight to the menu use "+restart 1"
Ex. ...\BF1942\BF1942.exe +restart 1

Example: "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\BF1942.exe" +restart 1 +game DesertCombat


To automatically join a server just use " +joinServer x.x.x.x:port" (case sensitive)
For the EA 117 - DC Fan Favorites Server this would be
...\BF1942.exe +restart 1 +game DesertCombat +joinServer 206.173.194.111:14567

Example: "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\BF1942.exe" +restart 1 +game DesertCombat +joinServer 206.173.194.111:14567

Just to clarify, put the server info one into the "Target" box, not the "Start In" box.
