HD mod

Hey Everyone

I have question for you all. I was playing on your server the other day. I seen and played a lot of battlefield something was just wrong. On the Guadalcanal map. A player saw me over half the map away and said he was using HD mod. I had never heard of it so I did some reach search.

I never or never will use this because it think it is cheating. What is server policy concerning this mod? Anything be done to keep the playing field even?

As one of the posts there said I think if an SS was taken it would be considered a fog hack.

It's a hack. Plain and simple. If I catch someone using it it's going to be an insta-ban, and I'm looking into how to add it to the MD5 hashes we look for.

**Edit - I will go a step farther and say even having this installed would be like "having a hack installed and not using it."

Yes. The BOP guys have lower fog configured on their servers for the helo wars.

what if you have a high def wide screen monitor, do you get the same affects?

id say if you have to download it, it should be considered a hack. having a better joystick or better system is just life.

HD is a misnomer. This has nothing to do with high definition. It is a fog hack that is deceptively labeled. Using a high definition screen will allow you to see fog in HD but it will still be there.

This is a no fog hack, nothing high-def about it.. and we have perma banned noobs and regulars for using it.

well that explains how me sitting in a shilka at the west flag on desertshield can get killed by an M1 exiting the east end of the allied base. Once upon a time I used to play a game called tribes and some moron came out with a hack called happy mod that would let you shoot through walls and see other players weapons. I wish these people would cut it out with the fag bs already....
