Just Curious

Post by LF55 »

How do players using Shika from well beyond site distance repeatedly and accurately down helos at any elevation? Radar is only 2D, and Shika engagement time only 2-3 seconds and down. This is particularly annoying when every attemped attack is pre empted by dead on fire, and the same player wins a top position over and over.

Beyond my own stuborness that takes me back again and again to try and learn and defeat, maybe I'm missing something obvious here. Ideas?
How can you shoot women or children?
Easy! Ya just don't lead 'em so much! Ain't war hell?

they can track you by the hit indicator, you need to change your flight path direction.

I think some people just spend a lot of freakin' time in the shilka.

I would think that they either:

A) See you at some point and extrapolate your position based on what they had seen.
B) Get lucky and hit something thru the fog, then attempt to lead that.

If you are way up and pretty sure it hadn't seen you, I would issue a PB screenshot to be taken. No fog or nametag hacks are probably some of the most common exploits used.

I've managed to take a few planes down offscreen but only after i've spotted them exiting my view and managed to adjust to their flight path.

What I can't get out of it is no matter how far up, how far out, hot low I am, they hit me. At times I can't even see the shilka. I don't really understand how come I can't see them but they see me. When I say they hit me, they tear me up. But I just shoot blindly hoping to get close so they have to move and readjust.

This is a good topic. I would love to know how it's done.
I feel your pain Kev.
