DVD Writer

I updated my firmware for my LG DVD Writer and now it doesnt want to open, it said it updated successfully with no errors and then i re-booted like it asked but now it doesnt want to open for some reason, any clues or suggestions would be appreciated !!

Uninstall the dvd (in device manager), reboot and use new firmware to reinstall.
