battle field crashing?
Re: battle field crashing?
I've just spent 20 minutes evaluating this online..and everything I've read says you need to reinstall with anti-virus off... apparently the AV on during install corrupted something somehow.
give it a shot..only takes an hour including all the downloads.

Are you running XP, or Vista? If it's Vista, all the reconfiguration in the world won't help you, in my experience. Just ask Spec. I've heard of a few people that report running '42 with no issues but they're a rare case. And they might be lying. :)

Yes vista hates me on most days but I know Dangle is running xp. I would re-install again, as far as the patches, let me know if you need them. I have all the patches and the .7 mod that I can forward over.

If you can play the game, just not for an unlimited period of time....and a restart of the game enables you to play again....Lt.Dangle wrote:ok, for sum reason after awhile i play bf it crashes 2 desktop and i have 2 restart the game!! does anybody kno wats causing this 2 happen?

You may want to consider your cooling solution. This is often caused by an overheating video card and sometimes by an overloaded and/or faulty PSU.
If the reinstall does not work for you, try loading up another graphically intensive game. See if it too crashes after a period of time. If so, tell me, and if you are not familiar modifying your hardware, I can walk you through it.
