DC Final maps

I know this has probably been asked, but is there a chance that some of the Final maps will be added at some point?

Sten, I doubt that we will be adding any DC Final maps to the server. We take pride in being one of the last DC servers that still run most of the DC maps and I am sure that there are several DC Final servers out there which have a great map lineup of their own.

Plain and simple, we are a DC server and although we may add a new DC map here and there, I don't see any DC Final maps in ever making it to the rotation.

Not really. I don't understand the hesitation to move on to DCF. Is there something you guys don't like about DCF? Actually if you want to play the best version maybe you should go back to .3. In that version the heavy machine gun could take down a helo and C4 could launch you across valleys.

I'm sure there would be no objection to people converting DCF maps to DC format.
I, for one, would have no idea how to do that.
However, if one were so inclined, it might be something to talk with the admins about.

As for DCX, DCF and DCFX, none of these work on my machine.

Replacing DC (.7) with DCF (.8) would add the following to the current lineup.

New maps:

Twin Rivers
Dust Bowl
First Light
Cornered
Coastal Hammer
Bridge
Al Nas

Vanilla maps added:

Battle of Britain
Liberation of Caen
Invasion of the Philippines
Market Garden
Aberdeen



Would definitely keep a good mix in the rotation without going SSM crazy.

I heard a brilliant suggestion yesterday (not mentioning by whom) of a DCF hour or two on Sunday evenings..

I kinda liked that..who knows...it could lead to some new maps for us all. In the very least, something a little different.

but wtf, I'd play here no matter what.

I love the DCF maps. Al Nas CTF is the best (no Bradley).

Dustbowl is super fun and Bridge can be a hoot...lol.

We are considering having a DC Final night on the server. Keep checking back for more info.
