anyone else having trouble?

cant for the life of me get the game to work properly,

i can get to the main menu, i can go around the whole menu, but as soon as i click on internet game. It freezes up.

Just spoke to nightstalker and he said the same thing happened to him. anyone else having these problems?

Yup I am getting pissed off ... It will go as far as seeing the join tab at the lower right .. but then frozen

And the weird thing is we are watching the number of players grow through gametracker but WE CAN NOT GET ON!!!!!!!

I tried to get on just after reading your post. I was successful. Couple of other players had trouble getting on but eventually did so. Have you, Beaver and Nighty tried disabling your hax before loading??? lol

K, ill try again and if I get on and see that Colonel is on I'll ask him to reboot the server if he has such privileges. Otherwise I'll try a PM to Swanny. be back soon

dont think its the server itself. I think its the Master server.

I got on the game and chatted w/ Colonel. He says it's and EA problem and that we prolly don't have a solution at hand

Have you all tried to join other DC or BF1942 servers just for the hell of it and see if you get the same behavior?

cant even get that far dad. as soon i as i go to Multiplayer > internet it freezes. All i see when i've hit the internet button, is the join tab at the bottom.


I've tried it in bf1942, dc, dc final, EoD, and interstate '82, all the exact same problem.

Try this:

Make a shortcut from your battlefield1942.exe on your desktop. Right click, properties. In the 'target box' add this:

"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\BF1942.exe" +restart 1 +game "mod type" +joinServer "server IP address:14567"

To make a direct link to the EA 117 server, it should look exactly like this:

"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\BF1942.exe" +restart 1 +game DesertCombat +joinServer 8.12.64.130:14567

Let me know if it works.
