AC-130 Training Video

Post by Swanny-CG »

Carnivore and I made a short video tutorial on flying and manning the AC-130. It goes over positions, how to fly, how to gun, etc.

Hopefully it helps those with less experience in the big bird.

If you like it, and it's helpful, you're welcome.

If you don't like it, blow it out your ass.

Without further ado...

Nice video ... I am a big fan of the 130 one hint if most didn't notice ... when using the big gun. The lead you will normally need is the left end of the right line on the crosshair. Of course that is on stationary targets ... moving targets it varies. Good info there Swanny and Carni.

Nightstalker said ... when using the big gun.
Hmm, let's break this down. "using the big gun" ;)
1. Could it be over compensation for a short fall? :o
2. Likes to play with large objects? :?
3. Calls his life parnter by his pet name?
4. All of the above.

Sorry man you leave yourself open (oops)
Just gotta bust your balls (oops)
Sorry didn't mean to turn you on :D :D :D

LOLOL BTW how did you really lose that finger?

Love ya and remember... without armor you can't land your planes ;)

I honestly dont know .. never saw one but I was told they use them to level a feild ... pretty much incinerate any and everything around to make a runway. We should mod the 130 which is what carries the MOAB anyways and let it have the destruction power of the SCUD or more for that matter ... I mean hell you cant have a name like Mother Of All Bombs without being one bad sumbich.

Yeah. I'm just teasing ya. Back in the day they were called Daisy Cutters. Made for a quick LZ in the bush for choppers. They have a proximity fuse to dentonate a couple hundred feet above ground as not to crated and really cleared the deck.

But I still think your hiding something.
I think you keep one hand smothered in vaseline in a glove.

I use that primary button. Man it's great to stay on target. That is unless Nightstalker is flying then he just crashes into a control point and owns it.

But knowing about what cross hairs to lead with worked great!!

 NS is stll gay

Extra info ... Swanny lol you will love this. I have found some realism within the game. The door of the 130 will NOT open when the health of the plane reaches 0. You are stuck in the back.
Now ... there is a way out. Hopefully the pilot bails out quick. You can select position 1(pilot) and then bail out.

LOL ... Actually no ... I found that out the hard way. I was in position 6 opening and closing the doors as people would spawn in the 130 and bailout. I would of course open as they came close and then close the door as we kept having a Mig show up on our tail. Well ... the Mig finally got the missles in the right spot just as I finished closing the doors and down we go. Tumor ended up chewing the pilots ass because he thought he closed the doors and then bailed leaving his teammates to die. I had to explain to him that is was my fault and what happened .... The day that I was flying and you were gunning and you ended up going down in a ball of flames with my was YOUR fault ... You my freind were the only one in the back with a closed door LOLOLOL   :P :P

Most of the time if you pop your chute, even if you're in the back of the plane, you won't die when you hit the ground. Also, the wreckage of the AC130 HAS no back door, so when it crashes and you land you can just walk out. A lot of times popping the chute in the plane just pulls you right through the wall of the 130.

You exactly right Swanny ... I got on single player just to try different things and for some reason today when in the pilot seat I hit eject it would take me to the back ... The plane may need to be a zero health for you to bail straight out of the pilot seat. So I heard the sound of myself falling and said what the heck .. hit the chute and out of the plane i went. So my info was not correct for all scenerios.
