Map Voting!!!!!!!

Hi all.
To any admins-
I tend to play later than most , 12am- 3 am central time, and lately there has been a lack of players/ admins on at these hours. Kinda late, i know, but usually we have at least 20 people on, not 8 or less. When a large map comes on with so few people, it basically ends the night. However, with 8 people on berlin or al nas, something smaller, the server can still continue to have fun games even with low numbers.

The other night, the server ran omaha beach, and of course alot of guys left leaving a small group to play a some what larger map, and defantly not a popular one.
Spec was the last admin on and instead of waiting for us to decide what map to run, he set map voting on just for the rest of night, and disconnected. This was awesome because we ran bridge and had a fun game.
I could understand why mapvoting isnt on regularly, people spamming the sh!t out of the server for a map.
BUT
Is it possible to do this everynight? just temperarly intil the following morning or noon?
Would it be possible to auto set this, or would an admin have to be on?

Or could you make it a policy to have admins start setting map voting on when the last admin logs off

i completely agree with this. not sure if there is an easy way to set/unset the map vote nightly, but it would help a TON late nights. its 2 am pacific right now and there are 3 people on. weak.

yeah wish we could get some input from some other admins
as long as people aren't fk tards, map voting would be great for the night owls. :shock: who stay up til 2 or 3 am lol

Hey guys ... I can guarantee that Swanny and Spec have seen this 1 Spec allready commented on how Enfield brought up a good point when it came up on the other post. I am sure they know and will get back to ya. If it will help you out I quit playing alot around 9 to 10pm CMT so for this month if powers that be agree I would be willing to turn on map voting on when I finish at night if I am allowed as a temp just to give it a try. Maybe that will help the people of the night. I could also turn it off but that would not be till around 8 am.

I don't have an issue with turning on map voting during the late nights and then turning it off in the morning.

Let's give it a try. I'll enable map vote tonight and turn it off in the morning. We'll see how this goes and go from there.

I hopped on pretty late last night around 2am central
Map voting was not activated. If you did set it last night, it may have turned off on its own after the first map was voted.
This happened a couple of weeks ago when you activated it for us before you left. Not sure but there maybe be a setting issue!

Yeah my bad, forgot to enable map voting. I got home late and it just slipped my mind. Let's aim for tonight :d
