EA 117 Gaming Community

I don't know if this means much but I thought I would post this anyway. I was playing on the server today about 3:oopm eastern and there was an unusual amount of lag but the strange thing was that I kept racking up "team kills". What is really weird is that I was standing still not moving and then it would report that I tk'd somebody. Anyway that kept up until I started getting a minus score then I left ther server as I was thinking I would get banned.

Could this be some kind of hack?

did you notice any other odd activity or behaviors?

Guadacanal by any chance?

Getting killed by a tomahawk on Guadacanal gives you a minus score.

But these days, we just don't know what kind of hacks, crashes, and mischief the bleeding little azzhats bring to the server.......

Only a NoOb would use the tomahawk

all this time, i never realized boon was noob backwards. i just figured it was short for boonhauer or he wanted to be known as a "timely blessing or benefit".

Beav ruined it ... He was trying to wait to see how long it would take before people figured it out. And not to be picky or a jerk but if you were talking about the guy from King of the Hill it was BooMhauer .. Now lets go drink a beer by the trashcans

Lol RollNRock, Alot of ppl have not made that connection lol, I came from a helo clan so I was used to fighting in the air with other helos, so when I came to EA117 under my original name JohnnyAppleSeed I had forgotten how to be infantry, needless to say I dished out way to many tk's by accident being a noob so i changed my name to BoOn lol.

Now back on topic there was 2 guys on the server lastnight, voodoo and cpt.paul I think that were complaining of randomly dieing for no reason, it was during CTF lost village and according to the "WTF's" it had happened to them over 5x's each. One of the random deaths gave the player a -2 point score, but the rest appeared just to give them the "No more" message.

That was spooky eh, was in the building were [*]voodoo was spawning an heard him die'n, so went around an threw looking for the offener ... That was different eh ... :shock:

I haven't experienced that yet, is it happening on a particular map or on multiple maps?

Minus any map with a tomahawk , lastnight was the first I heard of anyone complaining about this during a round.

you know - I was playing really awful last night - but still having fun
But with that said - I know I had a couple odd deaths last night - just standing in a building or something BAM "swodi is no more"
now typically I'm running off a cliff or in front of a jeep or not pulling my chute in time and 'swodi is no more'... I didn't think too much about it until reading this thread - but it was for sure not a missle map, and I didn't ever get a minus score for them (I did get my expected minus scores for my tk's... sorry again to all for my awful gameplay!!!! hehe)

I had a different experience on Docks, walked around the Tanks at Blue main an got stuck inside. Could see everthing but unable to get out

yeah, I've got stuck in those tanks at docks...

That's a known glitch there Swod ... it has been there for a while .. only way out that we have found is to suicide out

this may have been what happened to Jess last night.. she was suddenly -7 and kicked....she's lucky if she gets one or two kills a game...but 4 or 5 tk's? something seems amiss.

I have been looking into this the past few days trying to figure out whats causing these random deaths but If from here on forward can people be more specific with how are they dying.

1-Are you dying when you spawn? Is it the same spawnpoint or random spawnpoints ?

2-What map did it happen on, is it the same map or different maps ?

3- Have you ruled out that you were not killed by a tomahawk ?

4-Are you receiving a "no more" or "tk" or both ?

5-Did you notice it happening to anyone else on the server at the time?

If you guys could add that info in your post then that would greatly help in attempting to narrow down what may be causing this to players.
