Did you enjoy that vid Tona bro ?! Ok, so Tommy was born and raised in Australia..he has been playing at a professional level since he was 6 years old....he doesnt read or write music and is basically self taught...He is also wildly considered to be one of the greatest ever......



Oh and the reason his guitar is all scratched up, is because on some songs he uses it as a kind of percussion in addition to playing.

A timeless band! That crowd is amazing. Crazy how many young faces are amongst the crowd. No doubt these guys are some of the GOATS in rock music.

Hey… we say fake demon now but this was pre- Alice Cooper and shock rock. Ones gotta respect the balls it took to look like this and sing about these things during this time. Spin sent me this out of the blue without context years ago and I still listen to it lmao

Such fond memories of when that album came out.

It so happened that my sister had started dating a fireman who was a bit of an audiophile, and this was my first introduction to both CDs and what "real audio equipment" sounded like. He had some 17" or 18" Cerwin Vega three-ways, a Denon amp with who knows how many watts. But the real kicker and something I've never had since was a Yamaha "compander", a dynamic range compressor/expander. Digital CDs were brand new at the time and sounded mechanical without it, but holy shit, with the compander engaged and Money for Nothing playing... indescribable.

So anyway, yeah, spent a lot of time enjoying the entire Brothers in Arms album.

This album was released shortly after I left the Brazilian Armed Forces, during my military service there was a war or skirmish between England and Argentina over the Falkland Islands, we were on alert for a long time, but the American president at the time came to Brazil on a diplomatic visit to ask us not to get involved in the conflict to avoid an increase in the countries involved.
