Nvidia and AMD Battlefield 3 drivers released

NVIDIA and AMD released today their new beta drivers.

The Nvidia driver, version 285.38, includes the following Battlefield 3 beta updates (in addition to other improvements):

Increased performance in Battlefield 3 by up to 38%.
Improved overall stability and image quality in Battlefield 3.
Added or updated SLI profiles for Battlefield 3 (and other titles).
GeForce 500 series: Battlefield: Bad Company 2–the game stutters in certain maps after several minutes of gameplay.
GeForce GTX 560 Ti: Battlefield: Bad Company 2 –there is corruption on the edges of some objects when Transparency AA is enabled

AMD has released a similar driver, Catalyst 11.10, which includes improved support for Battlefield 3 beta.The driver includes the following Battlefield 3 beta update:

Improves performance in Battlefield 3 Open Beta release for both non-Anti-Aliasing, and application enabled Anti-Aliasing cases on the AMD Radeon™ HD 6000 and AMD Radeon™ HD 5000 Series for single GPU configurations
Improves performance in Battlefield 3 Open Beta release for both non-Anti-Aliasing, and application enabled Anti-Aliasing cases on CrossFire configurations using the AMD Radeon™ HD 6000 and AMD Radeon™ HD 5000 Series
Enables support for Eyefinity 5x1 display (portrait and landscape) configurations using the AMD Radeon™ HD 6000 and AMD Radeon™ HD 5000 Series
Vision Engine Control Center: User Interface enhancements have been implemented for the CrossfireX, GPU Overdrive, and Information Center pages.

Nice finding Spec,

The tool available on that page will help me confirm once and for all if my NVidia Gefore GTS 240 will run BF3. I think it will but it is not the ideal GPU... will check tonight. By the way, I've noticed lately my fans making louder noise than usual. So I bought an air duster can and cleaned the heck out of my motherboard, GPU, fans, etc. After the cleaning, my GPU's gauge temperature went down by almost 10 degrees Celsius and the fans are running much quieter now.
