There’s a wide selection of options from which to choose within the Battlefield 3 store,
found in Origin. You can access all the latest information for available and upcoming
Battlefield 3 content; redeem codes for in-game content; purchase an Online Pass,
which gives you access to Multiplayer; and purchase additional downloadable content.

wait wait wait... do you have to pay extra to play online multiplayer? what type of in-game and content and additional downloadable content are they talking about? pay extra for better guns n shit? its this type of crap that makes me hate how games are made today and love dc so much...

You won't be able to buy your way into a better guns or anything. Some of the downloadable content is going to be mostly for people with consoles. They are going to have downloadable avatar uniforms and other stuff that they can buy to make their profiles look pretty. If you buy the game brand new, you wont have to worry about buying an online pass.. buying an online pass will only apply if you buy bf3 used.

Yup, I had a long and painful learning curve in the Beta trying to pick stuff up with the G key. Those around me didn't appreciate it either. Can't say I'm cured yet either.......
