EA 117 Gaming Community

Hello all BF3 friends...

Ok I need to know if I am in the right track to get BF3 running on my system with 3- 23" monitors....I think I need to located the settings folder in my documents folder...and update the settings .ini (not sure name of actually file for BF3) and update the resolution width and hight to 6000x1080 ?? It seems like each time I change the file from 1900x1280 to 6000x1080 the file reverts back to 1900x1200...not sure why...do I need to save the file as "read-only", after I save the changes?

Does anyone know or could point me to the right location?

While not directly speaking to BF3, in that thread there is specific reference to changing the files to Read Only so that the system does not simply default to the standard setting up restarts.

Dunno if that will help. I'm sure others more knowledgeable that me will chime in.

Can I ask why you are trying to do this. Would the lines in between each screen not drive you crazy???? Seems like you would be better off getting one of those really large monitors. My .02 ... please take a picture though if you get it figured out.

Ok here is what I thought i needed to do to get the 3 monitors to work with non SLI 1 Nivida GeforceGTX560ti 1GB and 1 additional GeForce GTX 560ti 2GB video cards....I went into the C:\Users\ALLinSmoke\Documents\Battlefield 3\settings folder I opened up the PROF_SAVE_profile file folder i guess this is the settings.ini? BF and BF2 for PC both had a settings.ini file...??? and I edited one lines with NOTEPAD++ ....from GstRender.ResolutionWidth 1920 to (1920 x3 = 5760 or 6000 with monitor v-space) save the file as "read Only"...rebooted and NO LUCK! It did save the settings but game keeps max setting at 1920x1280@60hz...

What am i doing wrong? I can;t believe nothing is on the internet ?? Anyone have any luck to help a brother out?

I have no idea bud, have you tried posting in the battlelog forums? Maybe someone there is running a set up similar to yours.
