Ah the ol' CH-40. Look like the side gunner has a 240 Bravo out the window.

Is that the smoking section in the back there
I thought it was the 240 Golf. Only reason I say that was because my best friend was in the Marines and he carried what he always said was the 240 golf ???What's the difference?

Re: Pic of the Day
There the same the model is a M240B Machine Gun. They dropped the "Machine Gun part of it and its just called a 240 or 240 Bravo. I think the Jar Heads use the 240 Golf to represent the "G' for gun to help then pick it off the shelf, but then again the could pick up a stick of Gum aswell It just one of the most reliable, fast and jam free weapons out there. Runs about 900 rpm. Then again it could be am M60 out the window being an older helo.
The Air Force has one I had the liberty to use one. The barrel was replaced with a bottle opener and ran at 150 bottles a minute.

Re: Pic of the Day
I didn't even catch that one lol. The Leather necks take the heat shield off their models. I think their G is standard for anything that fires forward.
