What movie to watch before you kick the bucket.

Post by C'mon Son »

I got my butt chewed out by Nighty because I never have watched the movie A Christmas Story. Now I have seen parts of it but never from beginning to end. I know about the frozen tongue to pole and the BB gun and leg lamp. Every time I catch it on the tube half the movie is over. LOL... Nightstalker might have a heart attack if he knew I never saw Blazing Saddles (completely) either. So I made this topic just to see what the rest of you might suggest. I hope Mordor wont mind since I know he is good at posting movies. I just want suggestions on movies that have been out long before this forum even started. So any suggestions??? :)

I have thought for a long time about starting a "Top 5" forum where people can start topics on their "Top 5 whatevers"

I'd say 5 good ones (I don't know if they're my absolute Top 5 but they're up there) are:

Fight Club
Braveheart
Saving Private Ryan
The Patriot
The Last Samurai

Special mentions go to:
Goonies
The Princess Bride
History of the World, Part 1

Those are just off the top and I think I could come up with a lot more, and from more genres, but there you go.

Nighty and Swanny...

I seen all you have suggested so far except History of the World part 1. I know Mel brooks is in it and ive been told it is hilarious. I hope this is correct?

I own all but 2 of those Swanny. I would have to add Tombstone in there with the Top 5 So no its a Top 5 + what Night added LOLOL. Oh Reservior Dogs, and while its a series a must see is Band of Brothers.
Ok now ya got me started.

Shooter, Shawshank Redemption, Gladiator, SuperTroopers (so stupid its funny), Casino (kinda long), Scarface, Proof of Life ,Blackhawk Down and I almost forgot .... Enemy at the Gates.

All of those I have watched multiple times. And I would say they probably get watched once a year.

Eat me. You stole my answer. Just remove whatever Baraka is and replace with Patton. Then add a little Bucket List, Hangover and Red October (just for the UK accent for a Russian Capt.)

Well the critics also said Beavis and Butthead Do America was great too. ;) Now being a fan Image even I know they only said they liked it because they knew it was going to be a hit.

Itax made me think of a few others some of you might like. Clerks and Dogma.
